Learn how you can use sections to group content on your page and make it easy to navigate to.
Sections are a great way to group content. A new page has one section by default, but you can choose to add more if need be.
The easiest way to add a new section is with the slash command. Click “/” to open the slash command and search for “section”. Or you can click on the “+” in the middle of your page and add a new section that way.
When you create a new section, a dotted line will appear across your page, and everything below this is the new section. Only editors see the dotted line for the section, viewers won’t see it at all.
You can change the background color of a section to match your brand and to make content stand out.
To change the color of a section you can enter a hex code, drag the color pip, or use the eyedropper to match a color from an image or logo. The section color will update and save instantly.
Sections can be locked to prevent changes. When a section is locked, nobody can edit the content until it is unlocked.
To lock a section, click on section options “…” and select “Lock section”. You’ll then see a lock icon appear and the section will be in preview/read-only mode only until it is unlocked again.
When you have multiple sections, hover over the top left corner of any one to reveal arrow icons. Use them to move the section up or down the page.
View section options by clicking on the “…” icon in the top left of a section.
Open the properties panel to view advanced editing controls—like spacing, border and CSS injection
Hit “Duplicate” and an identical copy of your section will appear directly below the original
If you find yourself needing the same section layout over and over again, you can save it as a reusable template so you can use it on any page.
Hit “delete” to remove a section. CMD+Z (or CTRL+Z) will undo this action if you delete a section by accident.
