The sidebar is a great way to view, organize and navigate to your pages. Structure your content any way you like with nested pages and add customization to match your brand.
Who can access this feature?👥 Only admins and Site editors can edit the sidebar. Any changes are reflected for everyone else on the team.
Arrange your pages within the sidebar to create any structure you need for your content.
Click and drag the 6-dot grab handle to the left of the page you’d like to move. A line will appear to guide you on where the page will be placed in the list.
Use the grab handle to drag a page on top of another to nest it, or drag it into the list of nested sub-pages to add it to an existing list.
💡 Once a parent page has at least one sub-page, a toggle will appear so you can open or close the list.
Use the grab handle to move a page out of its parent page and into the main page list.
Within the properties panel, you can choose the theme of your sidebar and whether you’d like it be open or closed by default.
To change your sidebar theme, go to the Properties panel icon in the top right of the page and open the sidebar toggle to view “theme”.
Here’s a description of each option:
A. Always dark - The sidebar will remain black, even if the main page is black.
B. Always light - The sidebar will remain white, even if the page is white.
C. Match page - The sidebar contrast will always match the page shown. So if the page is dark, the sidebar will be dark. If the page is light, the sidebar will be light.
D. Contrast page - The sidebar contrast will always be the opposite of the page shown. So if the page is dark, the sidebar will be light. If the page is light, the sidebar will be dark.
Once you choose a theme, hit “save changes” at the bottom of the properties panel. Changes will be reflected for all users who view your Site.
You can also choose whether you’d like the sidebar to start open or closed when the page is opened.
Here’s a description of each option:
A. Start closed - The sidebar will be closed when the page is opened
B. Start open - The sidebar will be open when you first load the page, but the user can close it.
C. Always open - The sidebar will stay open, even if you refresh the page
